Request More InformationDay 1: BPMN for Business Analysts: Introduces business analysts to Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) and its application in business analysis tasks. The class presents major BPMN concepts and notation elements, explains how to interpret BPMN diagrams, and builds initial skills in applying BPMN for describing and analyzing business processes. About 50% of class time is dedicating for hands-on workshops on real-life business process modeling on whiteboard/paper and using the Cameo Business Modeler tool from No Magic.

Day 2: Efficient BPMN Principles and Practices builds on the concepts learned on day 1 for more efficient application of BPMN practices. Students will learn how to make the most efficient use of BPMN based on proven principles, patterns, and practices. Covered principles include a clear definition of a business process concept, using a small subset of BPMN elements, adhering to naming conventions, creating simple diagrams with multiple layers of detail, choosing an appropriate abstraction level, and applying best practices. Covered practices include model ownership, collaborative modeling, model reviews and model publishing. About 50% of class time is dedicating for hands-on workshops on real-life business process modeling on whiteboard/paper and using the Cameo Business Modeler tool from No Magic.

darius silingasDr. Darius Silingas is a Head of Solutions at No Magic Europe, developers of the award-winning and globally recognized modeling platform, MagicDraw. Dr. Silingas' primary responsibility is helping organizations build an efficient modeling culture, which enables sustainable business and system architectures. Darius has delivered over 200 training and consulting sessions for public and private sector organizations in 20 countries, has presented at numerous conferences, and wrote multiple articles on business and software modeling including a chapter in the BPMN 2.0 Handbook and a series of articles in Modern Analyst. Darius is the founder and chair of a conference BPM in Practice, which is annually held in Vilnius, Lithuania. Darius is also a part-time Associate Professor at Vytautas Magnus University, where he teaches Business Systems Analysis and Modeling and a Visiting Lecturer in the BPM program at ISM Executive School, where he teaches Business Process Modeling with BPMN. Darius holds Ph.D. in Informatics and is OMG Certified Expert in BPM.
